The Kalamazoo Ringers are excited to host Forté, an advanced handbell quartet in July on their return trip from the Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar in Rochester, NY.
Based in Colorado Springs, Forté is an advanced quartet marked by artistry, energy, and dedication to their craft. In pursuit of musical excellence, Forté strives to explore, innovate, inspire, and glorify God through the gift of music.
Formed in 2007 from members of the Pikes Peak Ringers in Colorado Springs, Forté began as an extended outlet for advanced ringers, but it soon emerged as a unique performance and educational quartet, quickly developing an elite reputation within the handbell world. They launched their own tour in 2009 and performed at Pinnacle, a national advanced handbell event, in 2010. Now Forté is entering a new phase, transitioning into a more active and professional organization, which they kicked off with “New Beginnings” and continued with “Crescendo.”
Forté is currently preparing their next concerts, which they will take on the road in July of 2016 as they make their way to and from the Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar in Rochester, NY, where they are proud to be presenting a feature concert! For this tour, Forté is learning several new (and very cool) pieces that they can’t wait to share with new and expanded audiences!
